He is a member of the board of directors of Broadlume. Mr. Balter is a co-founder and serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Flipside Crypto. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Mylestoned. He has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grapevine. He is a Venture Partner at True Ventures. He also co-founded Smarterer and BzzAgent and served as CEO of both companies. Prior to launching BzzAgent in 2001, Dave managed and sold two advertising agencies. Dave also co-founded the Word of Mouth Marketing Association in 2004 (WOMMA) and authored two books on the subject of word of mouth marketing and social media, Grapevine and The Word of Mouth Manual: Volume II. In 2007, the Harvard Business School named Dave one of Boston’s “hottest tech CEOs.” Dave was named to The Boston Business Journal and Advertising Specialty Institute’s “40 Under 40” list, and in 2008 AdClub recognized Dave as a Legend of the Future. Dave serves on the advisory boards of the Wharton Project on the Future of Advertising, the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange, and the Marketing and Communications Committee of the Boys & Girls Club of Boston. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Skidmore College. He is also vice chairman of the Boch Center board of directors.
