Felix Spielman serves as President, CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Emerging Travel Group. Mr. Spielman is also the General Partner of the Start Fund, an early-stage fund that he co-founded with Yuri Milner. Mr. Felix has been president and CEO of Emerging Travel Group (ETG) since January 2017. After joining the company as Vice President of Strategy in April 2013, Mr. Felix was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2014 and oversaw all commercial, operational and financial business functions during his tenure as Chief Operating Officer. Since his appointment as CEO, Mr. Felix has led major Eastern European markets to profitability, expanded international operations into 30+ markets and increased the company’s gross bookings to more than $1 billion. Prior to Emerging Travel, Mr. Felix was a general partner of Start Fund, a San Francisco-based early-stage investment fund founded by Yuri Milner (DST Global). The fund has invested in 400+ startups. Mr. Felix’s notable investments include Uber, Gusto, Parse, Coinbase, Instacart, Dr. Chrono, AngelList and Doordash. Prior to Start Fund, Mr. Felix was an employee of DST Global and DST Russia (later renamed Mail.ru Group). At DST Global, Felix was part of a small investment team that invested in Facebook, Twitter, Airbnb and Spotify. At DST Russia, Felix was responsible for managing the fund’s investments in VK (a leading Russian social network) and Qiwi (the largest payment network in Eastern Europe, which went public on the Nasdaq exchange).
