Igor Shoifot is an investment partner at TMT Investments. He is also the co-founder and general partner of The Garage Syndicate. He is a co-founder of Iterate.ai. He is an advisor at Coursmos and Depositphotos. He is a board member of Hifi.Finance, Synder, Muncher, and MEDvidi. He is a board director at LegionFarm and MEL Science. Previously served as a board observer at Wrike and Backblaze. He has served as a board director at Scentbird. He is a venture capital and angel investor in 200+ startups. He has founded startups in areas such as Video-On-Demand, Voice-Over-IP, document management, software development, social media and media sharing. He has also published articles and interviews in The Wall Street Journal, Venture Beat and many other publications. He occasionally writes for the San Francisco Examiner newspaper. He has lectured to graduate and undergraduate students on entrepreneurship, advertising, digital media and business at New York University, UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC San Francisco and other institutions. Passionate about entrepreneurship and viral growth, he wrote a chapter in the book Wizards of Corporate Venture Capital. He holds a BA in History from Moscow State Pedagogical University, an MA in European Studies from Central European University, a PhD in History from the Russian Academy of Sciences, and an MBA from Boston University.
