Marc Andreessen is a co-founder and partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture-capital firm that has backed many of today’s most promising entrepreneurs.
Andreessen is the creator of the Mosaic Internet browser and the co-founder of Netscape, both of which helped popularize the Web and create the Internet as we know it today. After Netscape was sold to AOL, for $4.2 billion, Andreessen co-founded Opsware, which was sold to Hewlett-Packard for $1.6 billion. He sits on the boards of eBay, Facebook, and Hewlett-Packard, among others, and holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
