Mark Weiser is a co-founder and board member and managing director of RPM Ventures. He is also Chairman of the Board of McKinley. Prior to founding RPM, Mark co-founded QuantumShift, a provider of web technology and business services focused on enterprise telecommunications needs; he then led the company through several funding rounds. Mark was also an early employee of MessageMedia (acquired by DoubleClick), where he pioneered some of the original methods of e-commerce transactions and launched the first online merchants. He was also a member of the roadshow team for the company’s initial public offering. In addition to serving on RPM’s board of directors, Mark is vice chairman of the board of McKinley, Inc. one of the largest privately held real estate companies in the United States. He is also a member of the Science Committee of NASA’s National Advisory Council and serves on the board of the James Beard Foundation. Previously, Mark was a founding board member of the Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) and an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan, where he also served on the Wolverine Venture Fund Board of Directors. Mark served on the board of trustees of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, and received the University of Michigan Alumni Distinguished Service Award for his efforts in founding CFE, TechArb (a student gas pedal) and the Master’s in Entrepreneurship program. In addition, he and his wife led the creation of the Mary H. Weiser Food Allergy Center at the University of Michigan, which provides national leadership and a cure pathway for those with food allergies. Mark graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering and an MBA with honors. He is a member of the board of directors of biproxi.
