With an impressive background as an entrepreneur, sales and financial services executive, he brings to his role at PayPal a diverse and wide-ranging experience and a passion for leading high-performance teams. He is responsible for PayPal’s end-to-end product and engineering organizations, overseeing the Omni Payments and Branded Experiences teams to advance PayPal’s position as the preferred digital payment method for consumers and merchants worldwide. In addition, he leads the team responsible for implementing the company’s credit solution strategies that drive consumer engagement and merchant business growth. Previously, he served as EVP of Global Sales and Lending and SVP of Global Lending and Major Markets, where his strong leadership helped transform our sales and lending organizations to support PayPal’s long-term growth strategy. Prior to joining PayPal, he founded Boku, which he led for nearly a decade. Boku has grown into the world’s largest independent carrier billing company, integrated with hundreds of mobile carriers worldwide. Prior to Boku, he served as CEO of Ingenio, a services and effective advertising sales company that he took over in 2007 after acquiring AT&T. His first company, Accept.com, was bought by Amazon in 1999 and became the foundation of Amazon’s global payment platform. He served as Amazon’s senior vice president of global services and sales for four years. He began his career at leading national banks FirstUSA and Bank of America in senior credit and risk management roles. He holds a master’s degree in operations research and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley.
