Mark Leslie

Mark Leslie is a managing general partner at Leslie Ventures. He is an investor in Rubrik. He is a board member of HeartVista, Stratoscale, Cresta AI, Ahana and Clumio. He has served as a special advisor at Nutanix. He is also a strategic advisor at Juvena Therapeutics and Genetic Finance. He was a board member of Scuba, Vera, Rigetti and ZeroStack. He was an advisor to the board of directors at Cumulus Networks. He is a board observer at Alluxio. He is also a management professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he teaches courses on entrepreneurship, ethics and sales organization. He is also a board member of Big Switch Networks and Censia. He was the founding chairman and served as CEO of Veritas Software. From 1980 to 1990, he served as president and CEO of two Silicon Valley high-tech start-ups. His previous experience includes sales management, a sales executive, a systems engineer, and a software engineer. He designed and developed the first software hypervisor while working for IBM in 1969. He currently serves on the boards of several privately held high-tech corporations, including PernixData, Bib Switch, Librato, Liquid Robotics, Nebula, PureStorage, SeaMicro Systems, Skybox Imaging, Sugar CRM, Wall Street Systems and Xsigo Corporation. He previously served on the board of directors of SugarCRM, Versive and Model N. In addition, he serves on the board of trustees of the NYU Faculty of Arts and Sciences, is chairman of the NYU Science Advisory Board, and is a member of the executive board of the NYU Innovation Foundation. He is also an advisor to the board of directors of Switchfly. He received his bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from New York University in 1966 and graduated from Harvard Business School’s Management Development Program in 1980.
