Ray Rothrock

Ray Rothrock is the Executive Chairman of RedSeal. He serves as an advisor to Nucleation Capital. He is a member of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Compensation Committee, and a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee at Roku. He is vice chairman of the board of directors, chairman of the cyber risk committee and a member of the compensation committee and investment risk committee at The University of Texas Investment Management Company. He was a member of the board of directors at DriveScale. Serves as chairman of the board of directors at RedSeal Networks. He is vice chairman of the board of directors at the University of Texas System. Partner at Venrock, advisor at Mark43, board member at CTERA and DriveScale. He is a board observer at Yotta Energy. He is a director at Fiftysix Investments. Served as a board member at Colabo. Served as chairman of the board at Transatomic Power. He is also chairman of the National Venture Capital Association and his investments include energy, IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. He joined Roku’s board of directors in August 2014. Ray is chairman and CEO of RedSeal, a cybersecurity company. From 1988 to June 2013, he was a partner at Venrock, a venture capital firm. Ray has served on the board of directors of Check Point Software Technologies since 1994. He holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
