Ronald Cohen is a co-founder of Social Finance UK. He is also an advisor to J-Impact. Mr. Cohen is also Chairman of the Advisory Board at Dynamic Loop Capital. Mr. Cohen is co-founder and chairman of the advisory board of Bridges Fund Management. Sir Cohen is Chairman of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing and The Portland Trust. He is a co-founding director of Social Finance UK (2007-11), Social Finance USA and Social Finance Israel. For nearly two decades, his pioneering leadership in impact investing has catalyzed a number of global initiatives, each designed to leverage private capital for the benefit of society and the environment. These efforts are leading the global impact investing movement to revolutionize impact. He chaired the Social Investment Task Force established under the British G8 Presidency (2013-2015), the Social Investment Task Force (2000-2010), and the Unclaimed Assets Commission (2005-2007). In 2012, he received the Rockefeller Foundation Award for Innovation in Social Finance. He was co-founder and Executive Chairman of Apax Partners Worldwide (1972-2005). He was a founding director and chairman of the British Venture Capital Association and a founding director of the European Venture Capital Association. He is a graduate of Oxford University, where he was President of the Oxford Union. He is an Honorary Fellow of Exeter College, Oxford. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded a Henry Fellowship. He is a member of the Harvard Business School Dean’s Council of Advisors and Vice Chair of Ben Gurion University; former director of the Harvard Management Company and the Oxford University Investment Committee; former member of the Harvard University Board of Trustees (2007-2013), former trustee of the British Museum (2005-2012) and former trustee of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (2005-2011). He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Apax Foundation.
