He has sold nearly 50 million albums worldwide, won 14 Grammy Awards and has become one of America’s most financially successful hip-hop artists and entrepreneurs with a fortune of nearly $450 million as of 2011. A 10-time Grammy Award winner since 1996, Carter has dominated the rap industry and set trends for an entire generation. Founder and chairman of Rocawear, he is also co-owner of NJ Nets Sports Clubs, 40/40, Translation Advertising and the Carols Daughter skin line, and is involved in a partnership with Iconix Brand Group.
