Theodore Leonsis is the founder and serves as Chairman, Managing Partner, General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Monumental Sports & Entertainment. He is a member of the Board of Directors of American Express. He is the owner of Capital One Arena. He co-founded Revolution Growth and serves as a Revolution Growth partner at Revolution. Co-founded and co-executive chairman of aXiomatic. Served as an advisor at Echo360. Co-founded and served as chairman of the board of directors of ViewLift. Served as a senior advisor to RRE Ventures. Serves on the board of directors of Sportradar. Chairman of the Board of Directors at Groupon and AddThis. He founded SnagFilms, the leading site for finding, watching and sharing documentaries for the Internet audience. He has also produced award-winning documentaries such as “Kicking It” and “Nanking,” which premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and won a Peabody Award and an Emmy Award. His third documentary, A Fighting Chance, aired on ESPN in the fall of 2010. Early in his career, he was the founder of several consumer technology companies, including Redgate Communications, where he is credited with introducing the phrase “new media.” He has been named Washington businessman of the year, Washington resident of the year, one of the 20 most influential people in sports and one of the top 10 entrepreneurs of the year. He was a member of the board of directors of CustomInk. He is co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of SnagFilms.
