Thomas Hulme

Thomas Hulme is a general partner at GV. He is a member of the board of directors of Scandit. Prior to GV, he was Director of Design at IDEO Europe. He is on the board of directors of GoCardless and nPlan. He is also a board member of Carrick Therapeutics. He is an angel investor. He is also an advisor to Oxford Sciences Innovation. He founded the company OpenIDEO. He also founded OIEngine, a SaaS platform whose clients include Harvard Business School and the Knight Foundation. Before IDEO, he was managing director of Marcos, a British sports car manufacturer. His filter designs were widely used in Formula One, superbikes, agricultural equipment and central heating systems. He received a first-class undergraduate degree in physics from Bristol University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded the Baker Scholar Award for high achievement. He also received an honorary doctorate from the University of the Arts, London. He founded the Magnom Company.
