Tony Xu

Tony Xu is co-founder and board member and CEO of DoorDash. He is a member of the board of directors of Meta Platforms. He is an advisor at Neighbor. He was an associate at Matrix Partners. Since joining Matrix in the fall of 2011, he has primarily supported the firm’s investments in mobile and consumer Internet, while working toward an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). Prior to GSB, he worked at RedLaser after eBay acquired the startup. At RedLaser, he led business development and sales, implemented various product initiatives related to the RedLaser software development kit, and helped grow the company from 2 million users to more than 12 million users in 10 months. Prior to RedLaser, he worked in corporate strategy, assisting eBay’s CFO and CEO on various issues and leading mobile, China and social media initiatives. He began his career at McKinsey and Company. Now, though, he occasionally wears red. He is also a published researcher with two papers appearing in peer-reviewed journals on cancer treatment.
