Ilya Sukhar

Ilya Sukhar is a partner at Matrix Partners. He is also an advisor at Xenon Ventures and Heavybit. He is also a board member of Parabola, Mashgin and Fivetran. In addition to running Parse as a semi-independent subsidiary, Ilya led the teams responsible for all of Facebook’s developer products and also worked on Messenger. He is an active angel investor and was a part-time partner at Y Combinator. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from Cornell University. He invests in a variety of industries, but is particularly interested in products that use a complex technical foundation to become indispensable to consumers or developers.
