Following this successful acquisition, he became president and CEO of Ofoto. The service was acquired by Kodak in 2001, and James led the subsidiary to global market leadership thanks to Ofoto’s more than 20 million happy users. His background includes online payments as former CEO of Xoom.com, and consumer cloud services as former CEO of Xmarks and current chairman of Pixelpipe. He is a passionate investor looking to find and develop insanely cool consumer products and services. As a venture partner at Bridgescale, a growth investment firm, he played a key role in three investments: Snapvine (acquired by Whitepages.com), IMVU and Plum Organics. Most recently, he worked closely with Mitch Kapor as an advisor to Kapor Capital. Catamount’s core value of making the world a better place is preached and put into practice by him.
